Oct 1, 2009 It's about time for an update, huh? The RATS have been pretty busy over the summer months and not all of it has been paintball. Motrin Man beat Severe to the alter but both managed to get married while Lurker added two more junior players to the team. In the meantime the rest of the team has been hitting the sporadic game here and there; ranging from the popular one-day big games to MistaKen and RaleighPaintball attending Ronn Sterling Paintball Camp and ION game at Skirmish. Events for this fall/winter are looking to be Splatbrother's Heroes vs Villians game Septembe 17th and 18th, Command Decisions 2009 Fulda Gap November 6th through 8th and, of course, Wayne's World Grand Finale 2009 the first weekend in December. Apr 6, 2009 The RATS just wrapped up their first trip down to Paintball Charleston, SC for the MPP game N.K.P.A. Attack: The Battle for Seoul. Paintball Charleston has an amazing field and it's a shame it's taken so long for us to get down there to play it. Anyone looking for a very diverse field owes it to themselves to check out PBC. The game itself was fun although a mixed bag with several smaller issues. For more information on that, check out the AARs over on Carolina Paintballers.com along with additional AARs at PBJunkies. Overall there were just under 300 players battling it out. Ironically the game ended in a TIE. Rumors are floating around that the MPP fall game at PBC will be a re-match. Back on March 14th, the RATS rolled back up to Splatbrothers for the Robin Hood game. Playing for the Saxon's alongside teams Sova, SSK and others, the RATS had a great day despite a bit of wet weather. Ronn and Don continue to improve their field and have incorporated many innovations which make the games flow that much better. This is still one of the best fields on the east coast! Feb 16, 2009 The last couple of weeks have been pretty busy... At the Splatbrother's Last of the Mohicans game, the RATS supported Slinky in leading the British to victory over the French/Huron forces. Despite the high temp of 25 degrees, this game was a ton of fun. As always, Ronn and Don put on a first class event. Splatbrothers continues to be one of the most consistent fields we play in regards to great games and players. If you have not played this field, you are really missing out. The last weekend in January, the RATS participated in Black River's third annual Battle of the Bulge game. BR pulled an amazing head count for this game with numbers ranging from 450 to 500 players! Unfortunately the field simply cannot handle that many players well and the game was fairly stagnant. Despite that, the RATS along with friends from Krisis had a good time. The first weekend in February was spent down at Adventure Beach with their opening game in the Skynet series; Armageddon. The RATS, along with Mountain from Krisis, played for the Cyborgs under the leadership of Ironman of Rogue Cell fame. Playing alongside teams like Tango Alpha, Port City Militia, Carolina Sabers, River Rats, B-Squad, Devastation and others, the Cyborgs were an unstoppable force. Team work and communication was top notch across the board. When all was said and done, Ironman award the RATS with the MVT award. We are honored to be recognized as such. Jan 17, 2009 The RATS will be kicking of the new year with our first event at Splatbrothers for their Last of the Mohicans game. Splatbrothers is one of those rare fields that truly offers something for everyone. Not to mention that Ronn and Don are some of the best owners/players in the industry. If you have not tried this field, you owe it to yourself to to play there. |
Welcome to the home of Team RATS. We are predominately a scenario paintball team based out of the Raleigh, North Carolina. However, Team RATS are more than just scenario paintball team. We are a group of friends who genuinely enjoying playing paintball together. Most of us started out playing recreational paintball together at Action Tagg which was located in Garner, NC. After 'Tagg closed in December of 2005, our wanting to play together has grown in to a passion for playing big game and scenario paintball events all over the east coast. While playing paintball is important to us, we also look forward to the camping, food, travel and fellowship associated with our hobby/sport. Our motto is, "Some teams travel, we DEPLOY!" We value the fun of the game and a strong sense of integrity and fair play. We are the players you will find encouraging our teammates to participate; to get in the fight. We can also be found helping the other team if we think it will benefit the overall game. We are definitely vocal in performing both. ;) We lead from the front and by example. We believe in expanding our hobby by demonstrating good sportsmanship, camaraderie and encouraging new players to get involved in scenario paintball and explore the hobby/sport as a whole. We strive to be the proverbial ambassadors to scenario paintball. It is our intention to be able to provide visitors the opportunity to learn more about us and the hobby/sport we currently love. Lastly, the Forum button will redirect you to the CarolinaPaintballers.com forum. This is the most likely place to find the RATS online. |
